Xiran "Lucia" Yang

I am Lucia, an illustrator, writer, and translator.

As a first-generation immigrant from China, I drifted through places and cultures, sometimes willingly, sometimes involuntarily. I am fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English, and I study linguistics to aid my creative work. I am particularly interested in artistic and textual works related to religions, mythologies, and fantasies. When I write, I tend to amplify the dramatic and rhythmic qualities derivated from these kind of works.

I have been developing my series The Empyrean Tales for years. When publishing related works, I use the alias “OUSIA.”. It constantly undergoes changes and will grow continuously alongside me. Although the full work is not included in this site, you may capture some glimpse from the displayed writings.
